The multi-percussionist and drummer Konrad Wiemann was born in 1981 in Berlin.
As a Teenager, he became infected with the fascination for the complex rhythms of Westafrican drumming. The infection has spread enormously. So he took classes from many different drummers and musicians, got his Bachelor in Jazz and popular music University of Mannheim (2010), was member of the BuJazzO and played concerts and festivals all over Europe. Currently, Konrad is living in Freiburg and works as band-leader, side-man and teacher. With a smile Konrad mixes his extensive knowledge of styles and grooves and brings colored sounds and rich grooves to the stage in different setups.
