Im Rahmen des diesjährigen onCe-Festivals für Instant Composition werden eine Woche lang jeden Abend zwei Performances von namenhaften Künstler:innen gezeigt. Das Programm lässt die langjährige Tradition der Tanzimprovisation erblühen, für die Freiburg international bekannt ist.

Dieses Stück ist Teil des fortlaufenden Projekts „Field of Disappearance", das 2015 begann und sich der Stille und Transparenz im Tanz widmet. In „if only i could be here now“ werden Aspekte der Präsenz, des Zuhörens und des Verlangens in Bezug auf Stille in Form betrachtet. In meiner Sehnsucht nach Gleichheit liegt eine Sehnsucht nach Zuhören, nach Stille und nach der Dringlichkeit des Friedens.

L.S. & T.M., zwei Bühnenkünstler:innen, die seit 4 Jahrzehnten die Arbeit des anderen schätzen, begegnen sich erstmals auf der Bühne. In ihrer Arbeit war die Improvisation stets das Herzstück ihrer Forschung. “66…69” sind nur zwei Zahlen – doch der Tanz wäre anders, wenn es hieße “26…29” oder “46…49”. Und …es wird sich ständig ändern.

This piece is part of the ongoing project 'Field of Disappearance', which began in 2015 and is dedicated to stillness and transparency in dance. In ‘if only I could be here now’, aspects of presence, listening and desire in relation to stillness are contemplated into form. In my longing for equality is a longing for listening for stillness and urgency for peace.

Lily Kiara danced her first improvised solo performance on invitation of her dance teacher at the age of eight. She has been influenced and inspired by artists such as Julyen Hamilton, Lisa Nelson, Joan Skinner, Suprapto Suryodarmo. She also works as a singer-songwriter.

L.S. & T.M. two stage artists who have been appreciating each other`s work for four decades, meet for the first time on stage. In their work, Improvisation has always been the heart of their exploration. 66…69 are just two numbers – yet the dance would be different if they were 26…29 or 46…49. And … it will constantly change.
