Bunmi Agusto | The Cave | Solo-Präsentation

In ihrer Einzelausstellung erforscht Bunmi Agusto das Spannungsverhältnis zwischen Prähistorie und Gegenwart, indem sie moderne, schlichte Materialien verwendet, um an antike Höhlenbilder zu erinnern. Durch die Verflechtung urzeitlicher Erzählungen mit futuristischer Ästhetik lädt Agusto die Betrachter:innen in einen Raum ein, in dem die Grenzen der Zeit verschwimmen und der ewige Kreislauf der Existenz durch die Brille der Antike und der Moderne neu interpretiert wird.

Elom 20ce, Musquiqui Chihying & Gregor Kasper | The Currency Lab – tɛknoʊmædʒɪkɛs

The Currency Lab – tɛknoʊmædʒɪkɛs ist ein künstlerisches Langzeitforschungsprojekt des Musikers, Künstlers und Filmemachers Elom 20ce (Lomé/Togo) und der Künstler bzw. Filmemacher Musquiqui Chihying (Berlin/Taipeh, Taiwan) und Gregor Kasper (Dresden/Deutschland). Unter Beteiligung und im Austausch mit Künstler:innen, Musiker:innen und Wissenschaftler: innen aus Afrika untersuchen sie das utopische Potential von Währungen und anderen Wertesystemen für eine emanzipatorische Zukunft auf dem Planeten. Das Projekt umfasst eine Ausstellung mit Kunstwerken in verschiedenen Medien wie Film, Musik und Installation sowie ein Workshop.

Bunmi Agusto | The Cave | Solo presentation

In her solo exhibition Bunmi Agusto explores the tension between the prehistoric and the contemporary, using sleek modern materials to evoke ancient cave imagery. By intertwining primordial narratives with futuristic aesthetics, Agusto invites viewers into a space where the boundaries of time blur, and the eternal cycle of existence is reimagined through both ancient and modern lenses.

Elom 20ce, Musquiqui Chihying & Gregor Kasper | The Currency Lab – tɛknoʊmædʒɪkɛs

The Currency Lab – tɛknoʊmædʒɪkɛs is a long-term artistic research project by the musician, artist and filmmaker Elom 20ce (Lomé/Togo) and the artists and filmmakers Musquiqui Chihying (Berlin/Taipei, Taiwan) and Gregor Kasper (Dresden/Germany).

With the participation of and in dialogue with artists, musicians and scientists from Africa, they examine the utopian potential of currencies and other value systems for an emancipatory future on the planet. The project includes an exhibition with artworks in various media such as film, music and installation as well as a workshop.
